Thanks, CNN. Thanks a lot. Really helps.

Promoting their interview with Manchin. "on his role as Washington power broker".

Not once in the time I watched did I see anyone asking why he's standing in the way of what 70% of this country's citizens want and need. Not once asking him why that 70% isn't sufficiently "bipartisan" for him to do the right thing. Just a lot of fluffing of the "power broker".

In typical Manchin family tradition he’s managed to get his wife a lucrative job along with his ego building role. Melds nicely with the daughter’s money-grabbing job of marketing the epipen at an outrageous price. Nice family.

And it doesn’t seem like they care very much about the people who get hurt by their quests; like people who need Epipens or people who want to vote and drive on safe roads and bridges.

80+% of all the major media is owned by REPUBLICANs. The only reason that Rachel has survived is she has turned into the largest cash cow on cable. And we all know, if there is one thing thing the corporations/owners love more than the Republican Party is CASH.
If you read articles carefully, if you listen to their stations, you will see that the Republican Media is right wing, or at least leaning to the right. They intentionally parrot the Repub Party buzzwords, and report the most on the Republican talking points.

Look no further than the current "TAX INCREASE" you constantly hear about in the "news".

It's not a f***ing TAX INCREASE, it's the "REPEAL OF A MASSIVE TAX CUT".

See what I mean?????????

with a top European Journalist forty years ago, during the Reagan administration.
I made the comment that we had the least "censored" news in the world.
For the next month, he often showed me the headlines of news from other countries and
what the exact same news story from the U.S. Press and TV showed.
I was appalled.
He also showed me a whole big bunch of different techniques that are used by people to subconsciously slant the news.

So that you can look for a couple of those techniques, here are a few. Once you see them, you can't and won't be able to un-see them.

Fox News, intentionally darkening Obama's face....That one was so obvious, it was hysterical.
Pictures of the gay pride parade, not showing the 100 gay guys marching in business suits, but only the most freaky marchers
Showing the person they like with an excellent portrait photograph, showing the picture they don't like with an un-flattering facial expression or without make up. Also showing the face of who they like larger, than the person they don't like smaller and grainier.
Taking one spoken sentence totally out of context compared to reading the entire paragraph or article. They can use this in a positive way for the person they like, or in a negative way for someone they don't like.

He also got a video from Europe that was never circulated in the U.S...... It was the Award winning journalism documentary done on Reagan's so called "Panama Invasion". I knew what Americans had been told by every news media here in America. Then, I watched with horror, footage of the invasion that the rest of the world saw. It was never allowed in the U.S.
It's still out there somewhere, look for it...........We all knew we were getting a highly filtered version of the news during the entire Viet Nam War vs what really went on. It is still going on and has drastically increased on all news.

Reporters, especially the White House News People, know the thinking of the owner of their news outlet. They worked damn hard to get there and earn good bucks. Do you seriously think they are gonna write articles or ask questions that will piss off the hand that feeds them?????? Just look at the ludicrous "soft ball" questions and reporting by "journalists" in today's media. Look at the "he said, she said" crap that NPR is forced to put out, to keep the financing coming from the gov't. Thank Newt Gingrich for that, with his Contract For America, that in truth was Contract On America.
The media know that if they just keep repeating the same lie, it will become truth in the readers/viewers minds, just like the "Tax Increase" bullshit I talked about. They learned this from Hitler's Propaganda Expert, he told the investigators after the war that exact statement: If you keep repeating the same lie, it will become the truth in everyone's minds"

TRUST ME, IT IS ALL INTENTIONAL AND BY DESIGN.

Believe me, I am a U.S. citizen, that loves our country and it's constitution. But what I see being done by the Republican Corporately Owned Media is totally revolting.

Is not a free media.

Time to toss media fifedom companies away. I mean literally take away corporate charters and shut them down.

Make the media publicly funded so no reporter loses thier job for reporting the truth.

Wants to be reelected. He is not concerned with 70 percent of the country wants, he is concerned with the majority of W. Virginia wants.
Handle him with kid gloves, he is in the catbirds seat. Let him bask in his glory lest he switch parties and give control back to McConnell.

All the Liebercrats who decided doing nothing was the best way to go were voted out of office.

Since Manchin voted to convict 45 twice, he better bring home the bacon to his state, or else the trumpanzees will elect a goop over him.

Thu Apr 8, 2021, 07:06 PM

Adding two more will make Manchin and Sinema irrelevant. Otherwise, the whole Biden agenda will go down the tubes and Republicans will take over again in 2024. We as a democracy really may not survive another Republican administration so soon.

We do have some opportunities, though we actually need at least three new senators because Georgia has now set up their legislature to challenge and throw out the reelection of Senator Warnock. Plus, Kemp is up for reelection, and if Stacey Abrams runs again, Republicans will pull out every nasty trick and way of cheating to prevent a win for her. Democrats need to demand a monitored election in Georgia by outsiders in 2022. Republicans cannot be trusted to allow a fair election.

In Manchin's case, it's hard to even frame a question about what's happened.
