Between 5 & 7 last night, fever went from 100.5 to 98.4. Soreness in upper back, gone.
Woke up this morning. 97.6 and I feel fine.
About 14 hours & done.
Wasn't bad at all.

(64,988 posts)...it went away fast!
I felt pretty much the same. Fever, some soreness in the upper back & shoulder. No chills or fatigue, though.
Then in that last 2 hours it just melted away.
By 8pm it was like it never happened.
No sore arm either.

(46,698 posts)I was out of commission yesterday, mostly sleeping. I did experience the aches and pressure above my eyes. Almost felt like it wanted to become a full fledged headache, but never did. I can't believe people try to work through it. And this morning I woke up feeling fine.

(215 posts)My wife and I had our 1st Moderna shots on 2/5 and our 2nd on 3/5.
Neither of us experienced any side effects at all, except for a very slight soreness around injection site. Felt good both the remainder of that day and all of the following days.
Glad to have it done and a month beyond.

(64,988 posts)She had an upset GI system for an hour or 2 the next day, but that's it. She did get Pfizer, unlike me.

(111,076 posts)....arm is slightly sore but no big deal.
I do have an appearance of gout in my left ankle this morning. As I recall, that happened with the first shot also. However, that may be coincidental and have nothing to do with the vax, because I have gout attacks from time to time. I am hoping it doesn't get worse as the day proceeds?
Other than that, no side effects to mention.
No sooner than I posted the above status report, I started feeling the effects of the shot, about 14 hours later. There is some nausea and a little anxiety as I try to put a little something on my stomach and then relax and see how long it will take to recover from this.... I am experiencing light-headedness and nausea at this moment...

(111,076 posts)..where I had a little nausea, a little belabored breathing, light-headed and disoriented a bit, with a little anxiety, much like the first hour after you might take some mushrooms or peyote...
I hope it has passed and does not return.

(6,582 posts)I had muscle soreness & body aches for 4-5 days after my 1st Moderna shot, it just moved around my body from area to area until after the 5th day everything had been sore for a day.

(6,204 posts)received by me at 1 pm on Wednesday afternoon. Yesterday I had a dull headache and my temp when from my usual 97 point something to 98.4. This morning I am back to 97.7 and as I type I am feeling okay. I am glad that I have done my part and I now join the ranks of those who have had their second shot.
My advice is to all is to hydrate before and after your shot. Exercise the arm that receives the shot. I did feel the jab of that second needle but the soreness that folks talk about was extremely mild for me. I had to touch the injection site for me to feel any discomfort.

(45,410 posts)I got my second Moderna shot on Wed. My eyes turned red that night and I had fever and chills overnight and all of Thursday I had headache and coughing too. Tylenol and sleep helped. This morning I'm perfectly fine. I feel great!
Living that vaccinated life
I feel like liberals and conservatives are in complete harmony on achieving herd immunity. Liberals want vaccinations and we're doing it. Conservatives want to spread it to everyone and see who survives, and they are doing it.

(64,988 posts)I wasn't complaining. Merely reporting. Plenty here that haven't gotten both shots yet.
It could have been 4 days instead of 14 hours, and I still wouldn't complain!

(10,828 posts)I received my second shot (Pfizer) yesterday. Had no soreness in my arm this time. In fact, I haven't had any side effects. The one thing I did do is drink a lot of water yesterday. This was following a suggestion from a friend after her 2nd shot. She said the corpsman recommended hydration. She failed to follow the suggestion and wound up with a throbbing headache, fever and fatigue for 24 hours.
So my husband and I are good to go. Give it two weeks and the door to our lives finally opens.
