Nelson has lost the plot with Dr. Baker.
It is getting painful to watch.

(46,037 posts)I loved the prosecution's reference to "Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how did you enjoy the play?" It was struck, but the jury got it, anyway.

(34,065 posts)Here - as with the expert witness yesterday - Nelson has such a poor grasp on the concepts that he is struggling to figure out what to ask and how to ask it.

He is on to something given how yesterday went for them with the testimony of Dr. Tobin.

Thanks for the thread madaboutharry.

This is a waste of time, the defense is getting their asses kicked daily

The other cops know Floyd situation is a anomaly and they'll keep Chauvin's attitude though.
Usually there aren't 9 minute murder videos of anything, even in the movies

(34,065 posts)The pundits offered it in response to a question about why there was a federal grand jury hearing in Feb 2021.
Apparently Chauvin was willing to spend 10 years in jail.
Here's a story abotut it: https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/ag-barr-quashed-plea-deal-fired-officer-derek-chauvin-george-n1257457

If this is what he is hanging his case on, he should pronounce it correctly.

(42,306 posts)Nelson is just meandering all over the place. Did he think this medical examiner would be helpful to him?
the defense is trying to make people believe the cause of death was drug use so the lawyer was hoping the fact that the autopsy found traces of fentanyl would be enough to sow doubt in the jury. Fortunately, the experts called on by the prosecution completely destroyed this the day before.
