I told Human Resources I do not need yearly sexual harassment training

Reason I’m a Union democrat unlike these perverted trumpublicans who voted twice for their orange messiah that I have to work with. I said jaysus they’re loaded with sexual predators can we call Chris Hanson. I then raised my hand and asked what is HR policy on rational people such as I working with Q believers who hold a teamster Union card.

She then informed me at the 18:00 punch I’ll have to attend the sexual harassment training it’s yearly. I said fine that’s no problem we’re getting paid but can we get corporate to allow the roach coaches to start taking Venmo payments.

Before I retired, harassment, business ethics, international business rules, & a knowledge (or lack of) survey of illegal business practices were annual for everyone above a certain level. There was no getting out of it.
Now that I sub, there's about 8 modules I have to do each school year. No getting out of those, either. And, I'm just a part-time employee!

...they never changed the modules or even swapped the questions around. So if you wrote down the answers, next year you could just click through as fast as possible to get to the test and then refer to your notes and hours of wasted time were reduced. I even started to coach my new hires on this as it was so infuriating. I know, I was a nightmare for the HR Dept , but it was mutual.

And, there was always on answer where "No" was the correct answer. Thing is, they changed the order every year. Same 20 questions, but different order.
The other HR training actually did change year to year.
The sub stuff annoys me the most, because:
1. It's the same each year.
2. There's no provision to just take the test and skip the presentation.
3. We can't even turn off the narration and just read the presentation.
The pace of narration is probably 90-100 words a minute. I read at something over 4,000 wpm. A 20 minute presentation should take me under a minute.
But, no.

It was mandatory yearly, as was ethics on discrimination.

Even if you are an upstanding citizen who would never do improper things, it’s an opportunity to stay up to date. Our societal norms and work culture is changing over time so it’s always useful to stay informed.

I promise you, sexual harassment isn't a Republican or Democratic thing. It's a human thing (mostly a male thing).

I'd also advise you not to bring your politics into the workplace. I promise you, as manager of my department, I would take a very dim view if I found you in my office because you were throwing around your politics inappropriately.

And I have to aggravate all the Q ANON trumpigs I work with. I actually don’t trust management never have in 33 years teamster. And when I said this we were in break room pre shift and HR was invading our space. Any grievances always go through Union process never HR here as HR always looking out for the company never the workers.

No, you do not have to "aggravate" your political opponents in your place of work. It's completely unprofessional. Would you sit idly by if Trumpers were actively aggravating you?

I've had this stuff in front of my desk before. I am never amused. The workplace is not the place for it. It's basic courtesy and professionalism. I do not want to be filling out forms because grown adults cannot or will not control themselves in a place of business.

It's not cute. And you're not sticking it to anyone other than people like me who have to eventually deal with it.

It is our job to take sexual harassment very, very seriously. You decided that was the time to get your politics on, to an HR rep who has to studiously avoid even the appearance of partisanship.

It was uncool. Not sure why you'd brag about it here.
