Layers upon layers ..

I’m dreaming in Photoshop tonight. Working in layers. But it is not photo images.

The new layer starts, and I move the slider in my fitful dream to reduce the effect. But I cannot get the opacity below 50% before there is another layer, somewhere else, to deal with.

Previously moved sliders start to creep back up. The layers are stacking up. I’m working the opacity sliders like the stops on a great pipe organ. The layers are additive. It is said that you can have as many as 8000 layers in Photoshop.

Finally it is too much, and I wake in a cold sweat. It is 4 am. I had hoped not to have to take pain medication tonight. Now I’m just waiting for it to kick in.

I have chronic pain. Every day is a fight against the pain, a fight to live and a fight not to give into depression. I teach online, and I constantly have a heating pad on my back.
