It's kind of nice to feel that it's over and I don't have to wait for a second dose! Of course I still have to and plan to be careful for a while, but it is kind of a relief. Didn't hurt at all.
I live in Boston and took an Uber to a CVS out in Chelsea. It wasn't very crowded and the whole process (including the 10 minute downtime) took about 30 minutes. I managed to catch a taxi back since Ubers/Lyfts were almost impossible to get.
So far I feel fine, but it hasn't been very long. We'll see how I feel tomorrow, but at least it's Sunday and I don't have to work. I will be watching my sister's dog starting next weekend for a full week while she and her family are on vacation, so as long as I am feeling better by then, all will be well. Can't wait to have my little (big) friend come to visit!

(9,952 posts)I was suppose to get long visits last summer but.... they didn't want to kill me. It has been a couple years since a visit.

(31,998 posts)My hubby and adult sons got the J&J and side effects were nothing beyond a bit of tiredness at the end of the day they got them (they all had morning appointments). I am confident you will be just fine!

(63,221 posts)I purposely signed up for a weekend just in case there were side effects. I did not want to have to work through the worst of it or call in sick. Hope you are doing well!
