Trump went off script tonight at RNC donor retreat and litigated election again, saying without proof it was “rigged” and “bullshit.” Not in prepared remarks. Went through state by state, per attendee. Talked about “Oprah Winfrey and Barack Hussein Obama” helping Abrams in GA.

People, even right wing morons, get tired and bored with the same old story and same old enemies. Talking points about locking up Hilary or whatever when you were Prez for four years and somehow didn't get your own DOJ, even under a lap dog like Barr, to get interested or do anything says a lot about you being impotent and just very old hot air. He'd do much better beating on the border issue or something that is actually current and still speaks to his base's warped sense of national priorities.

I do think his base is dwindling and Trump becomes more irrelevant every day he is out of office and shows himself to be self absorbed and clearly out of touch. The problem for the GOP is Trump still has more influence than he should and it eclipses the Repub Prez Wannabes from staking out much needed new ground and making a path forward. His sniping at McConnell and other GOPers is even more of a problem as it feeds division and uncertainty in the ranks that affects not only Presidential asperations but down ballot positions as well.
