Different spellings.

All right/alright has one meaning, so only one spelling needed... and it's all right, two words, puristically speaking. If a spellchecker is using both (mine just showed alright), the programmer either doesn't know the difference or has accepted the change in language.

We need to teach kids a model. I already asked if we were all ready. Maybe someone here knows a teaching trick!!!!

They tend to be consistent in their structure/meaning and eventually lead to new languages.

However, it seems to me 'alright vs all right' is laziness leading to nothing except confusion.

Best, but I can't fight that battle by myself!!!

I have noticed that even in the media, one can still from time to time detect a gerund being preceded by a possessive... or should that be "a gerund's being preceded"?

The most important aspect to spelling and grammar: Don't let such technicalities become a tool for judging others as in some way inferior.

First, you have to have one word to attach a -y to. And next, it's one of my favorite words, because when I use it, I always hear the tone of voice used by Strother Martin in "Cool Hand Luke" as he says: "What we have here is failure to communicate." I intend to go right on using alrighty whenever I feel like it after I make sure Greg the Grammarian can't hear me.
