Its just over 24 hours since I got my 1st COVID vaccine shot. I was given the Moderna vaccine. Other than some mild soreness in my left shoulder and some tiredness last evening I've not felt any other reactions. I had the exact same reactions to the Shingrix vaccine that I got 2 weeks ago. I'm feeling good about this and the 2nd shot is already scheduled. Piece of cake.
The tech giving me the shot commented on how I watched him stick me with the needle and the most people look away and grimace. I always watch, its no big deal

(46,037 posts)I'm like you. Just arm soreness after the first Pfizer shot. Nothing with the shingles shot.
After the second Pfizer shot, I had joint stiffness the second day. Nothing I couldn't cope with. It was totally gone the day after that.

(29,704 posts)I have no idea if I felt well or not. It just wasn't something I could even contemplate, so I felt fine. I slept a lot yesterday and today, but I think that was just the relief of having the project complete.

(46,037 posts)I feel so liberated. I'm still wearing a mask in public and staying away from people I don't know. But I got a hug from a vaccinated friend on Easter. What a gift.

(29,704 posts)for sure. Although, I'm in a very red state of trumpers and so the maskless are rampant and I know that at least one of them is a carrier.

(9,463 posts)My reaction to both Moderna shots was exactly like yours. I actually went to work after each shot, with "mild soreness" in my shoulder, and stayed as a cashier for 5 hours with no other reactions.
