(7,078 posts)Old is the next decade in age from where you are. I just turned 70. 80 is now old. 90 is ancient. Going the other way, 60s are middle age and 50s are young. Below that they are kids.
My late mother in law lived #6.

(9,606 posts)A friend of mine sent me a picture of an art show where many of my friends were attending. I haven't seen these people in 20 years as I moved to a different state. I wrote him back and said, "Who are all those old people?" And I meant it.
