7. The media coverage is curious

After Democrats lose or don't win big enough, the media are all over themselves wondering what Democrats need to do to improve their standing with voters. Unsurprisingly, the conclusion is usually "Act more like Republicans."

But the former guy got tromped by over 7 million votes, Republicans lost control of the Senate, and continue in the House as the minority party. Yet the media don't advise Republicans that courting the favor of the former guy may not be the path to victory in 2022. The media talk from time to time about the Big Lie, but their coverage indicates they may not quite believe that the Big Lie is a lie at all.
