This 'latest' really throws me. I got it bad personally, then each and every day more horrendous 'developments' and 'incidents'. "Lord, have mercy!"https://www.aol.com/news/minnesota-police-shoot-kill-man-014849404-172125498.html
>snipped< BROOKLYN CENTER, Minn. (AP) Police in a Minneapolis suburb where a Black man was fatally shot during a traffic stop say the officer who fired intended to use a Taser, not a handgun.
Police Chief Tim Gannon described the shooting as an accidental discharge.

(20,245 posts)Sounds like back pedaling to an 'excusable' reason for the death of this person.
We shall see.

(23,313 posts)This appears to be a traffic stop. Do you have a link for information on a warrant?

(10,842 posts)If it was a felony warrant then a tazer might be called for if he attempted to flee

(20,245 posts)1995. It's only 9.99/mo.
Plus we get 5 devices covered by McAfee security. No extra charge. It's been worth keeping it regardless of political or whatever anti reasons.
Plus acquaintances a lot 'higher up on the food chain' still subscribe. 😊

(20,245 posts)Truth be told, I'm not on my notebook often to remember. Mainly I access emails from 2 phones, then on a pc, the current ones are already viewed. I'll let y'all know.
I just mailed 2017 Federal and State returns Friday. Getting a refund. Deadlined or the US Treasury gets the dough. 2018 was done and filed, and I won't upset myself repeating the story. 2019 is sorta done. Need to go over both. Have an inkling there's more to be entered. 2020? I put figures in and $0 owed, $0 refund. But that sounds off. From 2017 the subsequent years hinged on that one. So, I'm working forward from there. I contacted 2 local CPAs a week ago. One sez they can help me after May 17th. The other no return call. So I'm DIY. I been filing our returns by TurboTax since 1998, but fizzled out in 2017. More to story which I won't share now in this post.
My maternal grandfather would always say, "Wish me luck!" whenever he set out to do something or go somewhere. 😁

(8,291 posts)That statement in the other traffic stop implies police -more often than we think, are engaging in premeditated murder.

Oh, but wait. Storm, seige Our Capitol is acceptable.
St. Matthew 23:23~
Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you tithe mint and dill and cummin, and have neglected the weightier provisions of the law: justice and mercy and faithfulness; but these are the things you should have done without neglecting the others.
St. Matthew 23:27~
Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs which on the outside appear beautiful, but inside they are full of dead mens bones and all uncleanness.

Otherwise one side would get bulky.
Did this cop forget he was right handed?
If he had them all on the same side, he doesn't appear to bright.
On Edit: don't ask me why cops in a town of 6,000 need to have all three weapons strapped to their belt all the time.
Crime around here is usually a broken into car, not riots.

(20,245 posts)Isn't a Taser shaped like a rectangular thing such as a TV remote or one of the first models cell phone?

(12,165 posts)Is this supposed to make the murder less murdery or something? Or the murderer less culpable?
The takeaway for police will be: if you shoot a POC, yell Taser! That will get you out of jail free.

(2,336 posts)Why are we letting the police get away with all these claims of ignorance, or fright (for themselves) when it is clear they are poorly trained or simply do not care. Sick. Of. It.
