First lady Jill Biden will undergo a "common medical procedure" on Wednesday morning, the White House announced late Tuesday.
"Tomorrow morning, the President will accompany the First Lady to an appointment for a common medical procedure at an outpatient center in Washington, DC. Afterward, the President and the First Lady will return to the White House to resume their normal schedule," a White House official said in a statement.
The White House did not provide any additional details on the first lady's procedure.

(11,390 posts)but they're not done under sedation. My guess is a colonoscopy, for which the patient is sedated but (at least in my case) conscious. My health provider requires a driver for all patients who have one, but once the patient is home there's usually no side effects to worry about.
