Methinks the NRA is scared

They're advertising like crazy with tagline like, "Stop the Biden Anti Gun Agenda!"
I don't recall Biden ever saying anything anti 2nd Amendment. With all of the investigations into LaPierre's lavish spending, They seem to feel that their days are numbered, so they're desperately trying to raise money for legal defense.
I hope they go down like the Titanic.

then worked with a Republican candidate's campaign PAC (worked with being a euphemism for provided money).

My problem is that this Russian money into at least one campaign in a U.S. election via the NRA has been dropped from the commentary during the investigation of how corrupt the organization had become, being used by the executives as a personal funding source.

My guess is a slow fade away.

The downside is the groups gaining support seem to be even less compromising.

NRA that is a hundred years old with at least the patina of respectability. Also not all gunners are going to the same alternate group so the influence (which is way over blown for less than 10% of voters) is diluted.

Loss of the NRA will be a major blow to the gun industry.

top board members. At the very least they would be fined and forced to return money, at most they could be disbanded as an organization.

The NRA declared bankruptcy in ?TEXAS? to avoid that lawsuit (BR puts a hold on all such suits). The BR case is being heard in Texas as I type this. Things leaking from the courtroom don't look good for them but this is Texas so who the hell knows???

so those people will give them money. I know a few people I used to work with who will fall for that fear-mongering every time.
