Capitol stormer's high school classmate rats him out to the FBI after seeing his TikTok videos

FBI agents arrested a 26-year-old Minnesota man after they received tips from two separate people tying him to the storming of the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, ABC5 reports.

On Jan. 7, a person who said they went to high school with Jonah Westbury told the FBI that they recognized him in videos he posted to social media of himself inside the Capitol, first on TikTok. They also said they saw of video of him on Twitter narrating his breaching of the Capitol building.

Another tipster say a video of Westbury on Reddit but misidentified him, but after further investigation, the FBI determined it was indeed Westbury.

“We made it. This is our house. We got pepper-sprayed, got abused,” he says in one video. In another, he says, “First time in the Capitol. First time in the Capitol… I’m proud of every f***ing one of you.”

Westbury is charged with two separate counts of disorderly and disruptive conduct; one count of entering and remaining in a restricted building and grounds; and one count of parading, demonstrating or picketing in the Capitol building.
