A White South African...

is testifying for the defense in the Chauvin trial. Let that sink in. A retired White South African physician who is playing expert at a variety of areas of medicine is testifying on behalf of the white police officer. This man would have grown up during Apartheid, steeping in that tea. And now says that the knee on the neck didn’t cause the death of African American George Floyd. This is beyond disturbing. I wonder what his history is of siding with white people in his “professional “ testimony.

but in practice, he appears to specialize, at least in part, in testifying for police.

That's his vocation, and has been for some time. He is currently being sued for doing it, and too long ago.

He begins an examination in the belief a police officer can do no wrong, and conjures some 'sciencey' sounding swill in proof of that.

for both the plaintiffs and defense. They are rare. Many are just hired guns.

Dr. David Fowler testifies on Wednesday, April 14, 2021, in the trial of former Minneapolis police Officer Derek Chauvin at the Hennepin County Courthouse in Minneapolis. Court TV via AP

All that crap may have "contributed" to Mr Floyd's death. but the proximate cause was Derek Chauvin kneeling on his neck.

old enough to have lived under Apartheid.

He's also a former medical examiner.

he's under scrutiny for determining cause of death in an eerily similar case in Maryland. A former Apartheid State Educated pathologist who did not perform the autopsy. THat's the best they got.

That white thing in Floyd's open mouth? yeah, his back fucking molar! Watch him put a red dot over it to cover it so you can't see, but take his word for it.

cause of death is arrhythmia, caused by atherosclerosis and hypertension.... Um, just no.

Plaque build up in the arteries (arteriosclerosis) and high blood pressure (hypertension) DOES NOT CAUSE electrical shorts (arrhythmia).

I've survived two spontaneous coronary artery dissections and have an ICD/pacemaker. That guy is full of shit, and I'd bring back the handsome cardiologist to skewer him.

Spaghetti defense and lots of medical terminology to confuse people. No. Just No.

all he has to do is lie on the floor and i will kneel on his neck for 9 minutes (or when he taps out, in which case he "loses" ), timed by the judge. If he survives, he's telling the truth.

I’m waiting for him to lose his temper. The prosecutor is doing a good job. He seems like a total tool imo.

When the paid for opinions from 'Experts" occur they should just allow the "expert" to prove their opinion in real time -

So right now they should just go outside to the street in front of the courthouse have the "expert" lay on the street then have the guilty dirty racist FUCK DC kneel on his neck for 9 minutes - hell he can stop at 9 - doesn't have to even go the full 9:29!

Experts basically are hired guns, it is all Bullshit - the system needs to be reformed. Everything turns into what "expert" do you believe and not what is true and provable. Fucking disgusts me.

The M.E. Who actually examined Mr. Floyd said his windpipe was constricted. Did he do that to himself?

This guy is coming off very, very badly.

Watch his expressions. He can hardly look at the prosecutor, and he gives his deception away.

It takes four minutes to deprive someone of oxygen, so 9 mintues and 39 seconds????

Desmond Tutu was on the Truth and Reconciliation Commission after apartheid ended in South Africa. His book was about his experiences and the testimony he heard on the Commission. Just reading about the depredations visited on Black South Africans was nauseating; I can't imagine sitting through the perpetrators' testimony day after day for months on end. (The deal was that White South Africans and their accomplices who appeared before the Commission were absolved of guilt for whatever heinous acts they confessed to.)
