(2,636 posts)The Pulmonologist who testified for free was Irish. And devastating.
This clown was educated in Apartheid South Africa, and makes a career out of whitewashing cop shootings.
His analysis of heart disease was full of shit, too.

(11,141 posts)TVs ok except it goes out anytime it storms. Computer is almost worthless for anything but low data uses. It goes out in storms too. The only answer will be when I sell this place and move. LOL

(2,018 posts)It was worth playing in law school classes to demonstrate how this is done by a real pro. Among the highlights:
1. He forced the expert to admit that he had basically invented the carbon monoxide narrative - he had absolutely no evidence, either from this case or even from emissions information.
2. He forced the expert to admit that he is not a pulmonologist or a cardiologist (which prosecution experts were), and he would defer to the expertise of a pulmonologist or cardiologist with regard to anoxia and effects of heart disease. (In other words, he essentially deferred to prosecution witnesses.)
3. He forced the expert to admit that he did no analysis on how much oxygen George Floyd had remaining in his body during the brutal attack, so he really couldn't rationally speak to this issue of anoxia at all, unlike the pulmonology witness.
4. He forced the expert to admit that the theory that Floyd took pills after arrest was horse hockey. The witness actually said that he sees no way that Floyd could've ingested anything once he was handcuffed.
It went on and on. It was gorgeous.
