We gave everything we had to give. We reasoned, we shouted, we pleaded, we cried, we broke down & left the House Floor. But today, FL Republicans passed a bill not only banning trans kids from playing sports but subjecting kids whose sex may be disputed to genital inspections.

Who determines which children’s genders are in dispute? Who “examines” them? Thank you for trying. I’m so disgusted with my state.

This is among the most disturbing parts of the bill: competitors or schools can challenge anyone’s gender. At which point, they’re tossed from the field and their parents have to foot the bill for DNA testing/hormone tests/genital inspections to prove their kid belongs.

I guess someone can invalidate one or two key players in a championship game too ... knowingly bet on the underdog (yes, big money is bet on high school sports).

Championship game, tony private high school versus lovable underdog public school, and the coach at the public school challenges star player Brittany's sexual assignment, she's disqualified from the big game, and her well-to-do parents have to go through the humiliating ordeal of proving Brittany is and always has been their daughter.

Would the repeal legislation be signed by the governor before or after Brittany gets off the field?

Maybe the former Florida Elections Commission General Counsel, Eric Lipman, can help out.

He seems to have a fondness for children's sports and children's genitals.
