Why does Sensata matter? BECAUSE THIS IS ROMNEY'S BUSINESS RECORD

People will try to link it to a CEO doing the job, or other political figures, etc.

WE NEED TO MAKE CLEAR that the reason why this is such a big deal is not that Bain is outsourcing, but that Romney became a "successful businessman" through outsourcing, and that this is what outsourcing DOES.

I'm just saying this because there were some naysayers on Reddit and twitter not getting why this matters.

1. The problem with Sensata is that it's hard to explain in 133 characters

on Twitter and that's why Twitter folks aren't getting it. If you can reduce it to 133 characters, I wish you luck.

but if an issue can't be broken down into 133 characters for regular Twitter users, they kinda ignore it. Twitter folks, generally, like quick, snappy tweets.

It's hard to make "@MittRomney currently profiting from outsourcing 900 jobs to China #Sensata #Bainport. Plant to be shut down Nov. 5." sexy!

3. It's also important because it's happening before our eyes.

We should be able to feel the employees' pain as they see their company ripped apart and trucked away.

Not only their company, but their jobs, pensions, health insurance, etc. With winter coming, it's another slap in their faces.

I worked for a company that sold out and moved to Texas back in 1982, so I know what that feeling is. My heart goes out to them all.

7. Explain it in a tweet?

How about this for a tweet:

Sensata outsourcing makes Romney & Bain friends rich while stealing jobs from Americans. This IS his job plan for US #Sensata #Romney #Obama

8. Example: this tweet tries to link Bain to Obama

@DonkeyofPoker
the reason #sensata is not MSM news is because the guy who runs BAIN is a Democrat and Obama donor

That's not the problem here. The problem is that Romney is running on a record of apparently great business experience. And maybe it is great since it got him so successful. The problem is that it is wrong for American working middle class if all he knows is outsourcing. Right?

Sensata is finally getting attention. Democracy Now! has been to Freeport, IL and saw the tent-town and talked to the people.

Check Amy's website for more info.

I wish RobMe would come to central OH....just so I could go heckle him.

12. This is what the "job creators" do with their extra (tax break) money
Sat Oct 13, 2012, 08:51 PM
Oct 2012

they destroy American jobs, in order to further line their checkbooks, even when the checkbooks were already growing. This is what wealth worship looks like.

Already worth 250 million. Profits are coming in on investments. But regardless the cost to other humans, fellow americans, the profit isn't enough. Don't have enough, have to extract more money.

And many are ready to vote to elect this model of economic greed for the few, and devastation for an increasing portion of the population. Unfathomable, but apparently fathomable to many.

13. SEIU has purchased "promoted" tweets on Sensata
Sat Oct 13, 2012, 08:54 PM

‏@SEIU

Watch Bonnie, a 23-year employee of #Sensata, talk about training her Chinese replacement Bain Capital named "Max" http://bit.ly/UVpsXG

The fact that a legit organization bought paid tweets promoting the story is a very good sign of coverage here.

Also - completely disagree this isn't a tweetable story. Use this:

Mitt Romney still profits from Bain-owned company sending jobs to China. Your job could be next. #Sensata http://bit.ly/UVpsXG
