On April 18–19, 2020, Gabriel Wortman committed multiple shootings in the Canadian province of Nova Scotia, killing 22 people and injuring three others.

This was our last mass shooting.

We banned assault rifles right after this.

9. I would hope so. It's murder we're talking about after all.

5. And we didn't even come close to matching Australia's "world record" at Port Arthur.

Australian govt. DID come for their guns, and in a big way. The entire population went mild. "Oh, OK. Seems fair."

Short-barrelled pistols are also banned. I inherited a German officer's WW2 sidearm (a JP Sauer and Sohns, forerunner to Sieg Sauer) and had to get rid of it. Even the ammunition is illegal, which seems reasonable.

8. Hopefully we can ban most guns here in the US someday.

So tired of hearing about mass shootings being the price we pay for our freedoms.
(stoopidest logic I’ve ever heard)

What about the freedom to not worry about what the next gun nut will do.

11. Me too. THAT is "the price we pay for 'freedom'?"

Too high a price.

And usually, if me could argue, a price is something you pay in exchange for something - ONCE. and HOW MANY TIMES have we had to “pay for ‘freedom’ in this particular “exchange”?

How many broken hearts, broken families, motherless children, fatherless children, widows and widowers have we bargained away for this “freedom”?

I don’t think the price tag is worth this so-called “freedom”.

I don’t think the price tag is worth ANYTHING.

12. Allow me ... yes, all of Canada. The pistol barrel info in a post was related to Australia I think.

We should be like Canada and Australia.
