I am scheduled for an MRI this afternoon. I have had one spinal fusion about 10 years ago, and am now in tremendous pain again. I can't put weight on my right side. Not sure what it will show, but I need to know what is going on.

I am terrified of another fusion, my first one gave me 10 years of good life but the rehab was horrible. Thankfully I am fully retired now and won't have to deal with employment issues. I also hope the Medicare plus the supplement take care of more than my insurance did. We had almost $10,000 out of pocket the last time between the MRI's I needed, and the various doctors before and after the surgery.

Just need some good thoughts from my DU family today.

Good Luck!!
Just had back surgery in Dec.
One dr said I needed another fusion and I waited months before getting a second opinion.
This dr did not think I needed a fusion. He also told me that the fusion surgery had changed so much since my first one.
I was so glad I got the second opinion.
