Marjorie Taylor Greene, after publicly defending "Anglo-Saxon" language in the reported America First Caucus platform, now says it's a staff level draft proposal from an outside group that I hadnt read.

Even in this she repeats what she said in the tweet, that the platform has been "taken out of context," a defense that seems at odds with her claim she hasn't read it.
She also still plans to drive President Trumps America First agenda with my Congressional colleagues.

The publication Friday by congressional newsletter Punchbowl News of a seven-page document appearing to be the America First Caucus platform was met with fury by top members of the Freedom Caucus, a source with knowledge of the groups internal discussions told Forbes.
One member, Rep. Ken Buck (R-Colo.), took objections shared between some members of the caucus public, slamming the hatefulness of the platform in a Friday night tweet, with his spokesperson Lindsey Curnutte telling Forbes he has no plans to join the group.
Freedom Caucus members that Punchbowl reported to have agreed to join the America First Caucus, Reps. Louie Gohmert (R-Texas) and Barry Moore (R-Ala.), told Forbes they have not yet decided whether to do so.
Thats on top of criticism from other House Republicans, including Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy and Conference Chair Liz Cheney, with Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-Ill.) calling for the GOP to expel any conference member who joins and strip their committee assignments.
Greenes spokesperson Nick Dyer, asked about criticism of the platform from top Republicans, sought to backtrack from Greenes public defense of its language, telling Forbes the document was never approved or agreed to by Congresswoman Greene.

(5,493 posts)MTG is full white nationalist. White Nationalists are obsessed with European ancestry, Architecture, aesthetics, nationality / identity, maintaining an arbitrary moral code (which should be enforced with an iron fist by law enforcement and the state), and ethnicity at the blood level. She has absolutely spouted stuff like this before, and Im not buying that she didnt know what was in this document.
They were fishing for what the reaction would be. Public opinion is the only thing that stops them from dropping their masks totally.

Blames her staff because low level staffers write so much policy andput things out without their boss' permission.
English & German, and only part of Germany, none of those Baravias, and none of those Irish or Scots. Welsh on a case by case basis.
It is unfathomable that we are revisiting this racist nativist white nationalist bullshit. Obama's election triggered the racists because he proves that the average white schlub is a fat, lazy, stupid and incurious bigoted rube. With all the advantages in the world, with the privilege built into society for white people, all they could manage was a double wide.... Biden himself is less a pro blem than the fear the GOP voiced when he chose Harris--they've lost their minds with a black president, but the prospect of a woman, and black woman at that, well....
I was born after the Civil Rights struggles of the 50s and 60s. I was toddler during the Watts Riots, but grew up driving to and from USC right through Watts. I had thought that the kind of open war on Black people I read about during the Civil Rights Era were over and behind us, that the vicious inhumane treatment was a relic. I'm ashamed and embarrassed and angry that we as a nation have to refight the same battle because one party refuses to allow itself to be dragged into the second half of the 20th century even 20 yers into the next century.
That deplorable, vile, hateful woman from Georgia thinks return to nazi-ism is going to bring respect, but she doesn't understand just how buffoonish the rest of the first world thinks we've become.

(25,932 posts)She fucking well knew what was it that execrable document - probably suggested some of the language herself. In her idiocy, she didnt consider that even some wypipo would find it abhorrent.
