(1,823 posts)While the news is terrible, it would be worse with the other guy throwing verbal bombs.
I am spending less less time explaining the crazy to my grandchildren.

Not having to deal with that corrupt, cruel, mean, entitled, ignorant, spoiled rotten rich brat fool in our faces day in and day out has been a slice of heaven.

(42,770 posts)Read a couple days ago that it's a couple months away. Of course in Trump speak that could be never.
I just hope that we and the press don't give it any oxygen if it comes to pass.

(10,277 posts)He finally found a way to fleece millions. Hes not going to let that go. Hell be asking for donations to get his platform launched and as is usual with him hell just bank the money not spend it to fulfill any sort of promise.

(18,672 posts)I didn't know what to expect when Donald Trump got booted from Twitter. It was quiet. Nice and quiet.
It was like sitting in a Laundromat talking to someone for an hour or so while some guy has four pairs of sneakers and his rock collection in a dryer while he sat in the back practicing the kazoo. The racket continued and you became used to it. You gradually raised your voice and strained to hear without realizing it. You became edgy and irritated, until... it stopped. Just like that, it was over.
You think you went deaf. You're stunned. You wiggle your finger in your ear as a calm settles over the entire store. You can hear your friend speak in normal tones and everything is clear and lucid. You glance to the door and see a man and a woman come in to wash a bag full of Beanie Babies. Nice, quiet, Beanie Babies.
It was like that.

(42,770 posts)financial repercussions to all the platforms that banned him? Hope not.
I really can't see a situation where they would reverse their decisions. Based on the article I just read, if Trump does come up with his own platform like he's been bragging about, he will use it to target GOP he doesn't like. I can't see that as a reason for other platforms to reverse their decisions

(19,253 posts)He cannot exist and be relevant without Twitter. I just don't see it with him, he is nt going to be a force and control the media so well without Twitter.
Another side effect is that Joe has been able to do his job without constant Tweets from Trump undermining him.
