25 years old and in the Army, is not planning on getting vaccinated. He's around more conservative people than in his previous 23 or 24 years, so that's part of it, I'm sure. He doesn't trust the information from the CDC. He doesn't think it will be too serious if he does get COVID.

I've pointed out that his father, brother and I all got vaccinated with minimal side effects, that studies are showing long-term effects from COVID infections. He has a BS from the University of Iowa in microbiology, and I told him that a good bit of early research on coronaviruses and mRNA vaccines was done there. But I think I need to be done pushing the issue, lest I turn him off even more. The best hope for him IMO is that the military makes it mandatory, and who knows if or when that could happen?

So, I agree that there should be consequences for people who are being stupid about this, but it's hard when it's your own flesh and blood.

It was approved for emergency use. I expect it will be fast-tracked and when FDA does officially approve it, those in the military and medical field will have no medical reason to refuse.

something else. I've talked with some guys that think they are genetically immune to all flues and viruses ... just superior health I guess. What absolute morons, and it's really not even worth talking to them because all intelligence has been cut off with them. I'm stunned at the absolute ignorance of many in the US.

They should also be put on the " no fly " list. I don't want one sitting 6 inches from me for hours on a jet
