9. Waters Statement

"We've got to stay on the street and we've got to get more active, we've got to get more confrontational”.

She is saying that if the jury finds not guilty we have to keep the foot on the pedal or things will never change. Trials cannot be that fragile and have to be that perfect. I am not a lawyer but it sounds to me like the Judge has a bias. Waters wasn't even talking about the Chauvin trial.

People have been expressing their opinions about the trial nonstop? Why should something one Member of Congress - whose district is nowhere near the scene of the crime or the trial - said so influences the jury in a way nothing else that it causes a mistrial?

This is simply a matter of Chauvin's attorney working in tandem with the right-wing Republican crusade against Maxine Waters.

each evening, or even posts here during the day while trial is on.

Same as today but as I was scrolling down my FB feed a PBS post appeared (they do rhat at other times for other events) broadcasting the trial and that statement from the prosecutor was what I caught.

Wow, SO true.

have had. He still caused GF's death, even if deprived him of only moments of life. It's still murder.
