Officer Sicknick suffered strokes and died of natural causes, DC medical examiner says

https://www.cnn.com/2021/04/19/politics/brian-sicknick-death-us-capitol-riot/index.html

US Capitol Police Officer Brian Sicknick suffered strokes and died of natural causes one day after responding to the January 6 insurrection at the US Capitol, Washington DC's chief medical examiner has determined.

The medical examiner, Francisco Diaz, didn't note any evidence that Sicknick had an allergic reaction to chemical spray or list any internal or external injuries, according to The Washington Post, which first reported the ruling. Still, Diaz told the newspaper that "all that transpired" on January 6 "played a role in his condition."

The ruling all but ensures that the Justice Department won't be able to pursue homicide charges in Sicknick's death. In March, two men -- Julian Elie Khater, 32, of Pennsylvania, and George Pierre Tanios, 39, of West Virginia -- were arrested and charged with assaulting Sicknick.

Attorneys for Khater and Tanios declined to comment to CNN in response to the Post report.
The pair traveled together to DC for the pro-Trump rally and have been charged with 10 criminal counts including conspiring to injure police and assaulting officers using a dangerous weapon. The charges have never connected the assault to Sicknick's death, and prosecutors have not sought to hold any rioters accountable for murder.

all along. I'm glad for their sake because I know I would rather my loved one died of natural causes then from bring murdered.

He had a stroke and was natural causes? First we were told he was beaten to death with a fire extinguisher, then he had a fatal reaction to being sprayed with bear spray. I don’t even know what to think or who to believe in the news. This really bothers me. I just want the truth, and that man’s family to find solace and healing.

7. The fact that he died after being assaulted can factor into the sentencing for the assault

assuming of course they are convicted. At least that's what I heard on a legal podcast a while back.

It may have been natural but stress affects health.

I remember after a huge earthquake a family's home was destroyed and they weren't sure what would happen. The father ended up getting a heart attack and died just days later . So that may be natural but things happen which cam lead to it.

15. Would he have had those strokes without being attacked

the previous day? This sounds a lot like chauvin's defense.

Aren't strokes triggered by high blood pressure, which can be triggered by stress (especially from getting beat up during a terrorist attack)? Looks like it's open season on anyone with pre-existing conditions and/or on medication.

On the Bike detail, not over weight, outdoorsy type. Fought a pitched battle with domestic terrorists, collapsed in the Police Detail office, went to the hospital, died the next day. Clearly the armed assault on the Capitol
Had nothing to do with his death. What the fuck.

17. If just stress and combat brought on strokes we'd have a lot more dead troops in Afghanistan..

He was clearly attacked with a chemical agent, caught on film. I know this is speculative, but I am willing to bet that Brian would still be alive today if not for the pitched battle he was a part of on the West Front of the Capitol.
