(19,063 posts)If Trump were still President, here's exactly what you'd be hearing from the administration amplified by FOX News every day.
We're doing almost 1 million shots a day, we're up to 50 Million Americans have gotten a shot, that's just tremendous, no one thought it could be done. Many people are saying this is the greatest vaccine effort in history. Do nothing Dems just whine about wanting more vaccine.

(5,526 posts)there were ~17million already done before inauguration.
So when they hit 217 million in about two days, they will break through the 200 million in 100 days goal.
We are on about day 90 now so we should hit close to 225 million when we cross 100 days.
Note I am only counting since Biden took office as a measure of whether he fulfilled his goal.
For me, a more important threshold is that we should cross over 100 million fully vaccinated at the 100 day mark. That was always my measure of success that I wanted to see.
I suspect that we will have peaked by then though. There will be a steady stream of people getting second shots but it will become increasingly difficult to find people to take those first shot appointments. By the beginning of May, I suspect that our shots per day average will start declining as there will just be fewer takers. Then comes the media blitz to try and encourage the stragglers.
