If they acquitted him, the 6 non white jurors didn't spend much time fighting for a conviction.

Dissenter to acquit? If so, then 6 people (or more) could agree on guilt, and Chauvin could still walk.

I just can't see people who initially wanted to convict being willing to give it up like that. That's why a hung jury was such a fear.
