One of the most powerful techniques that Jerry Blackwell used earlier in the trial was to continually ask the witness (one of the doctors), "and what is the importance of that", forcing them to tie their results back to something everyone could understand. There were some moments when other prosecutors missed what I thought were good moments for a follow-up question to tie things up, but Blackwell was absolutely amazing throughout.

My glass is raised to them all. Well done!

They had a lot to work with but the presented what seems to this non-lawyer as a near-perfect case.

I heard his speech on NPR after the verdict. When he finished speaking, he was thanked for his part in it.

This shows what can be done when the obstacles within the system are removed or side stepped by people who mean business and take their responsibility seriously.

A lot of people and effort went into this case to make it a genuine and professional trial. Does not happen that way often enough.

Job well done. You have made America safer just knowing that justice was done. I am hopeful this will serve as an example for others to follow. Good luck and relax, you deserve it.

A wonderful closing Prosecutor Blackwell made when he said George Floyd died because Chauvin's heart was too small.

to get an accurate picture of what happened to Mr. Floyd. It was the defense story’s job to counter that narrative as best they could, given all the horrifying evidence against Chauvin. So many people worked together to bring a case that the jury could decide without days and weeks of deliberations. Sounds to me like the prosecution did an outstanding job, along with all the supporting players so the jury didn’t have too much of a struggle to convict on all counts.

And we all breathed a huge sigh of relief and comfort that maybe now George Floyd can Rest In Peace.
