Today we took two giant steps forward.
We will take some steps backward, but I'm not worrying about that today.
Today, I'm celebrating those two giant steps we just took.

There always is whenever we take any steps forward. That's not a reason not to celebrate.

I was expecting the murder 3 (depraved mind) verdict but I wasn't quite as sure how the others would come out until I heard the verdict would be announced so soon. A quick verdict usually is a very bad sign for a defendant. I do hope that this case will serve as a warning to other police departments, and that the clue bird finally poops on officers who are far too eager to go after black people for minor offenses.
