Shout out to Sean Garrison, the painter at the MN courthouse!

He was just interviewed for the second time, the first as they were awaiting the verdict and his painting-in-progress was an abstract canvas full of red slashes and other bold strokes. Just now they talked to him again, the canvas mostly bright blue, which he described as "Walking on air." He was so beautifully eloquent about the need to create his feelings, and his joy at this moment of justice.

I teared right up. So, apparently, did Chris Hayes, who asked on the spot if he could buy the painting. I hope he gets it. Heck, I'd like to have it too. For just a brief moment, walking on air.

It could also be named, “exhaling”, or “I can breath”

I like the painting!

I was so touched by him, and the evolution of the piece. And I see it's "Sean." I'' fix that.

He was going to paint the aftermath of the outcome of the trial. He named this one “Walking on Air”. Great name after the verdicts!

I'm just finding this thread. Thank you. I am still "Walking On Air". Today I was painting at a commerative event for the anniversary of George Floyd's death.
