MINNEAPOLIS (Reuters) With the conviction of former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin in the death of George Floyd on Tuesday, prosecutors will begin turning their attention to making their case against three others who took part in the fatal arrest.
Tou Thao, J. Alexander Kueng and Thomas Lane, all of whom were fired and arrested days after Floyd died last May, face charges at a trial on Aug. 23 that they aided and abetted second-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter of Floyd.
Aiding and abetting murder is punishable by up to 40 years in prison, although sentencing guidelines can reduce the maximum to 15 years.

After the Chauvin conviction they must be sweating. Doesn't look good for them.

Open season on black people is over. The predators can and will be held accountable.

It would not surprise me if the prosecution of the original defendant made a conscious choice to not complicate the case by bringing up this fraud, but this might be the time.
While we can all appreciate the uncommon break in the "blue wall," with cops testifying to the truth for once, the stench of that original wholly dishonest, concocted report lingers. Was it mere inattention and ineptness on the part of the senior staff that let that get through, knowing chauvin was a bit of a rogue? Hard for me to believe.
