It's pollen season. My nose is what it is. I can't say whether my allergies are worsened by the covid shot, but it doesn't seem worse than usual.
Waiting and anticipating adverse side effects was by far worse than anything that happened. I took Airborne each day about 5 days out, and certainly the day of (yesterday). I drank a Gatorade at the advice of a friend when I got home.
I took some headache medicine for good measure, and maybe it staved it off, because I just mowed my lawn, and am getting ready to run to the gym because I am just not feeling any side effects.
At all. So don't be afraid of this. Be vigilant

(33,643 posts)This was my experience as well w/Moderna. Felt fine other than a bruised shoulder muscle.

(65,277 posts)Not even the sore arm.
The 2nd one caused a fever and upper back/shoulder aches for 12-14 hours.
When it subsided, it was fast. At around 5:30 I was still achy and temperature was around 100.5.
Between 7 and 7:30 temperature was under 98 and the achiness was gone.
But, I functioned all day. Just felt a little crummy.

(4,526 posts)My arm itched like hell for a week. It never hurt, never got sore, there was no mark visible, it just itched like crazy!! I'm a retired nurse, I have had more vaccines than you can shake a stick at, I had a few mild side effects but I had never had one itch before.
