Worth repeating: 'Before riot, Trump said 'we got to get rid' of Rep. Liz Cheney'

I am loathe to give Liz Cheney, or Darth, the benefit of the doubt on anything. Trump knowingly put LC's life at risk. Darth was sufficiently concerned that he rang to warn her. Forget principles - revenge is strong in the Cheney clan, as Matt Gaetz found out.

Before riot, Trump said ‘we got to get rid’ of Rep. Liz Cheney. Now she supports impeaching him.

... “We got to get rid of the weak congresspeople, the ones that aren’t any good, the Liz Cheneys of the world,” Trump said in the speech, singling her out as he urged the mob to march to the Capitol.

After being informed of the president’s tirade by her father, Cheney walked out on the House floor, still hoping to stop the effort backed by Trump to overturn the electoral college votes. Then she heard a mob banging on the chamber’s doors and a shot fired, and realized that an attempted insurrection was underway. She hustled to a secure location and later called Fox News.

“There is no question that the president formed the mob, the president incited the mob, the president addressed the mob,” Cheney told the network where she once worked and whose pundits had long supported Trump. “He lit the flame.”

The dramatic moments, recounted by a source familiar with them, led her to back impeachment. “The president could have immediately and forcefully intervened to stop the violence,” Cheney said in the statement. “He did not.”

She hustled to a secure location Now that takes me back.

She was not critical of him enough to support an impeachment before he put her life in danger.

... she wanted to get busy with getting him out of office and for the lot of them that's what its going to take.

If this isn't damn near 70% of what Hitler did to the Reichstag (German congress) post burning I don't know what is.

They did not take Dumbf seriously when he refused to commit to a peaceful transfer of power, and told his militias to stand by.

No fan of the Cheneys, that should be a given. But even hateful motherfuckers can be useful under the right conditions, and Dick ain't dead yet.

Were NOT gonna get a Dem in Lizs WY Senate seat. We SHOULD be cautiously grateful that she ISNT a Trump Cultist, because that would be the only alternative there.

7. If you think you can find THE Lisa Murkowski of Wyoming, I'm fully on board with that idea.

Sadly, in a state full of (probably) trump cultists, Liz Cheney IS the Lisa Murkowski of Wyoming politics.
