Derek Chauvin is being held in solitary confinement for 23 hours a day.Mr. Chauvin, who is being held as he waits to be sentenced, will be alone in his cell for all but one hour each day, during which he is allowed to exercise. Even then, he will be kept away from all other prisoners and remain under the watch of prison guards inside the unit.
The court on Wednesday set June 16 as the date for Mr. Chauvins sentencing, according to a source familiar with the matter who was not authorized to speak publicly.

I don't remember the exact specifics, but after the verdict was read, the judge provided a list of items and related dates that needed to be done before sentencing, which was set for eight weeks. Reports on mitigating factors, etc.

Looking for things cause his sentence to be longer or shorter. Like maybe all these previous complaints lodged against him?

They're referred to as Blakeley arguments, referencing Blakely v. Washington.
