I got my second shot yesterday and woke up shivering and cold.
When I finally got out of bed, it felt like all my limbs were weighed down.
I've never been so tired in all my life.

(90,336 posts)... flu or anything so taking away the aches is good.
I lost a couple of need lbs too.

(15,794 posts)Got the second shot yesterday too. But did things change over the hours. My arm is throbbing. Thats my only issue but its an annoying one. I was more tired the first day with the first Pfizer shot.

(66,351 posts)Absolutely wiped.
Fortunately, it only lasted twenty-four hours, and resolved without treatment.
I woke up the next day feeling like a million bucks, tax-free...
*fingers crossed*

(8,203 posts)The next day I was a little tired because I hadn't been able to keep water down the previous day, and after that I was fine.
Now I am two weeks past my 2nd vaccine. I went to a bookstore and a thrift store this afternoon--my first retail shopping for anything other than food in a year! I can't stop smiling.

(32,639 posts)No temperature, no flu symptoms, so I just took a long nap and felt better later.
It was all over in less than 24 hours.

(32,083 posts)I had a reaction much like that of the O.P. Tired, achy joints, sore arm, some chills and a low-grade fever. Nothing unbearable, though. I just looked at it as a day where I could be a slug and not feel guilty about it. It also gave me a chance to catch up on my sleep. If you get a reaction, just remind yourself that your immune system is doing its job. Good luck!
If you move your injection arm around a lot, it will help distribute the vaccine, which will lessen any pain.

(3,483 posts)This morning I'm not achy but I sure am out of it. My head is in the clouds and I'm tired as hell. May be some naps in my future today after the work calls are over.

(12,470 posts)Since I got my second shot, moderna and I get moments when the tiredness hits me and I gotta go lay down, then it passes and I am back to normal energy.
Also had an uptick in my blood sugar(diabetic) and my depression.
A few days ago the depression really was at me. My blood sugar is elevated but not all that much. Like 110-120. I kept my bsl in the 80's -90's range before I got both moderna shots.

(32,676 posts)any after the first shot. The day after the second one, I did take an extra hour nap and that was it.
Been two and half weeks now and I feel better than I have in moths. Real good times running my 5Ks on the back yard track. Fewer naps now. I'm 71 years old and wonder now if a third one might be even better.
