When you schedule your second dose, be absolutely sure its been 28 days or more since your first!
My dumb self miscalculated. I arrived for my second dose appointment on Tuesday and they turned me away because it was only day 27.
Trying to reschedule for next week. The appointment times for next week should go live on the pharmacys website tonight or tomorrow. My finger is getting tired from all the refreshing.
Update: got an appt for Monday at 11am which is perfect because I dont have to be back to work until late Wednesday afternoon. Thats hopefully enough time to sleep off any potential side effects.

(34,059 posts)4 weeks for Moderna, and 3 weeks for Pfizer. You can go longer, but they are not supposed to let you get you second vaccination earlier than the minimum time.

(12,180 posts).... However, second doses administered within a grace period of 4 days earlier than the recommended date for the second dose are still considered valid. If it is not feasible to adhere to the recommended interval and a delay in vaccination is unavoidable, the second dose of Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines may be administered up to 6 weeks (42 days) after the first dose.....

(34,059 posts)Based on the bolded first sentence:
In other words - the language you quoted seems to excuse the person vaccinated early from needing a 3rd shot (i.e. the second is still valid).

(52,155 posts)but I live in an area that had some hesitancy and thus I think I was able to get an appointment faster than those who lived in areas without it. Vaccines opened up for teachers on 23 Feb here and my appointment was 27 Feb.
