Today, we're announcing that we will phase out all oil extraction — as part of a world-leading effort to achieve carbon neutrality — and ban fracking by 2024.

Not sure if they're fracking in CA, but it is in some ways worse than oil drilling. CA is already seismically active, so fracking seems to be a really BAD idea there.

Or, from flammable material raked off the floors of forests.

I'm sure the fibrous bits can be woven into pantyhose.

Guessing pantyhose sales have really sagged during the pandemic.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom issued a directive Friday that sets an aspirational 2045 deadline to halt all oil extraction within the state. It also orders the state's Department of Conservation to quit issuing new fracking permits by 2024.

Ban fracking by 2024 is not accurate
