Still seems nuts, because IMHO if there is a space crunch (their excuse for this practice) they should cut some of the totally useless, inane strips they do find space to print.

It’s on point. On a horrible, horrible point that’s the nexus of madnesses right now. “Content” is fast becoming my least favorite word. Content creators is another way of saying “fills space.” And it’s just that unfiltered, unreliable, emotionally vampiric and absolutely horrific people see it as stardom.
