A few takeaways from the MAGA rally yesterday:

A few takeaways from the MAGA rally yesterday:

1. I have worked on campaigns and been active in politics since 1988. I had never been to a Trump rally though. These are much different than anything I have experienced. They are like revivals where Trump is a god. The lines that

Ron Filipkowski
@RonFilipkowski
get the loudest applause are the ones that are the most deranged.

2. These people have no use for GOP Senators or any other Republican who isn’t 100% loyal to Trump.

3. They really don’t identify so much as “Republican.” Of all the signs, flags, banners, hats and shirts, I never saw “Republican” or an elephant logo on anything. It’s not loyalty to a party, it’s to Trump.

4. Although they want Trump to remain leader, few believe he will run in 2024.

5. Mike Flynn is definitely running for president in 2024. These rallies are his attempt to take
over the MAGA movement. The big question is what Trump thinks about that.

6. People there were half for Flynn and half for Desantis in 2024. They have zero interest in anyone else, who they perceive as either too weak, RINO, or too disloyal to Trump.

But I haven't watched much cable politics lately so I probably wouldn't know unless I see it on here.

It doesn't really matter that they don't identify Republican. The Trump voters are also wedge issue voters. When the time comes to vote the wedge issue voters will still vote for whoever has the "R" after their name and whoever is running will keep that "R" after their names.

also don't care. I'm sure the flat-earthers had one recently, too. And the Scientologists. Oh wait, but they probably pay for theirs.

How do those idiots feel about Hawley? He is hell-bent on inheriting the MAGAts and having them do his bidding like they do trump's.

Our neighbor put up a bright orange flag (how fitting) that says "Keep America Great Again - Trump 2024" Keep it great again? Idiots.

THAT Mike Flynn thinks he’s presidential material????

Well, I, for one, will NEVER think so!

And in truth, more than likely, they will.

They are ignoring getting vaccinated, they're ignoring common sense protocols to avoid spread of the disease, as well as running roughshod over everybody else's feelings, etc. They literally don't care what 80% of all Americans want. They care only about their tiny tiny sliver of Americans (20% of republicans (0% of democrats)),

20% of republicans are still die hard bigots, bullies in every sense of the word, idiots that whip out their guns at the unprovoked drop of a hat, and are rude loudmouths as to their opinions and such, ignoring everybody else in the room.

You know who I'm talking about.

Desantis and Flynn are unelectable, zero chance in swing areas. Both are Trump surrogates and thats the worse possible thing in a national election. So either they nominate one of these clowns and they lose by 15 million votes or they nominate someone else and enough of these people don't vote.

Either way, let the Repugs fracture.

Americans, esp. those with little or no education and those who watch a lot of FOX News, have a short attention span.

Germans went back to being non-Hitler/Nazis after a few years after they lost the war.

RWNJ's went on with their lives after McCarthy was censured, and later died.

yesterday because of the loser of the election birthday. This was to be in Tampa Bay and the organizers were going to hitch along with the Gasparilla Day boat parade held every year to make it seem like it was all for the loser. The grifting runs very deep with these jackasses.

The winds were blowing 20 mph from the north with gusts to 34 mph on the bay. No boat parade happened as far as I know.
