Problem is republicans are psychopaths and have no heart and their will is directed at harming and abusing other people.

They are petrified that their obscene profit margins would disappear. No to mention the value of their stocks.

Before I was eligible for Medicare a couple years ago, I had to take on a part-time job just to pay the outrageous monthly premiums for shitty coverage (enormous co-pays, limited provider network (in an HMO, doncha’ know)).

I can't tell you how big a booster of universal health care I am. It keeps me in Canada, when I might otherwise move, at least part time, to WNY.

The vaccine situation there has been poor. Trudeau offered to send the Red Cross to Ontario to help with vaccine administration. Ford turned him down.

My daughter thought she would not be eligible to sign up until this summer. Not even to get on a list!

She is getting her first does this evening. Her husband, who is a year younger than her, has not been able to sign up yet. He will, as soon as he can.

From what she tells me, we are doing better here than in Canada.

system. Only Israel and the UK are comparable and by some metrics we are doing better than either of them. The great public systems of France, Germany and Scandanavia have been disasters in terms of vaccination. One big reason is we out bid the EU.

If only we could break up big pharma, the insurance companies, for profit health care and the campaign 'contributions', for politicians. We can only dream, I guess.
