so measured. No need for grandstanding, bluster. Just a modulated discussion of who we should be as a people, and how he and his administration plan to get us there.
So refreshing.

(17,460 posts)This is historic! I've been a feminist since I was a teenager and I'm 72 and this moment means a lot to me - just the fact that it took so damned long to get to this.
Next, I want to live long enough to see Kamala giving the speech!

On both counts: the thrill of seeing Madame Vice President AND Madam Speaker sitting behind him, and the hope of living to see Madam President standing at the podium!

(24,897 posts)Like you, I admired President Biden's speech and the entire style and substance of his presidency so far.
But I thought you were posting about Trump! It has been so refreshing to have nearly every day go by where we don't have to hear Trump's latest bombastic idiocy, his whiny petulance and his profound stupidity. Thanks to Twitter and Facebook, (two entities I detest!), Trump has been effectively neutered and mostly silenced. I love it.
Meanwhile, our real president has accomplished so much with the vast approval of most Americans. Trump really should just shut up and sit down.
