(268,925 posts)There's something very special about Willie.
Are you getting your emergency supplies s ready for the hurricane season?
How's life in these Covid times?

(10,495 posts)Professionally I am working the last hurricanes and the Texas freeze cases. Repaired my house and yard from hurricanes Laura and Beta.
Quit my job last Fall to go on my own. My old boss was a malignant narcissist just like Trump. 50% pay cut despite the PPE money he got.
How are you these days?

(268,925 posts)Good for you.
I'm fine - just tired of hearing about the deaths of folks we know. Many aren't from Covid but they avoided the hospitals because of Covid. I'm just hoping that things return to normal - wanted to repair and repaint last year but was afraid to let strangers in here - already bought the paint.

Happy birthday, dear Willie!

(719 posts)cuz, the cancer's gone. Now, to be fair, it's not an actual liquid; it's more a paste, like tar, (as in the type they use on old fashioned rooves), which I ingest with liquid type fluids. But HUNTEEE... it works! Anyway, happy rant off, Happy Birthday, Uncle Willie & may you have MANY MANY more...

(16,337 posts)really hope he's able to tour at least one last time. One of the shitty things about the pandemic, is that many of our great artists are getting way up there in age, and they lost a year of giving concerts. Btw, his latest (I think) album, "The Last Rose of Spring," is one of his finest. Check it out if you can...

(11,563 posts)That old expression "they broke the mould" doesn't even apply. There was no moulds. Willie was not designed, either...completely freeform!
