Religious leaders denounce Missouri bill on guns in houses of worship

St. Louis – Faith leaders condemn a plan before the Missouri legislature that would allow guns in houses of worship.

A group of a dozen clergy from different denominations spoke at an event organized by the Archdiocese, denouncing Missouri House Bill 944.

"Please keep our places of worship free from these tools of violence," said Archbishop Mitchell Rozanski.

Rozanski spoke of the need for parishes to have security plans, but says letting people in the pews bring their own guns to church is not the answer.

The laws typically remove the state's prohibition.

I haven't read this one, though.
