Expedia survey says Americans are itching to travel again

Americans, feeling pent up after working from home for more than a year, are ready to travel again now that more and more people are getting vaccinated against Covid-19, according to a new survey this month from Seattle’s Expedia Group.

Widespread availability of vaccines prompted 43% of Americans to book an upcoming trip or say they’re more comfortable traveling, according to the survey, which questioned 2,200 Americans.

Eighteen percent said wider vaccine availability didn’t influence their plans because they’d already been traveling.

In addition, Expedia said interest is rekindling in business travel with nearly 20% of people in the Northeast and West saying they’re “most likely to travel for work in the near future.”

If you want to go overseas many countries will require proof of vaccination AKA a vaccine passport so fuck you Ron Desantis.

before departure.

The airlines seem to be sending me weekly updates to the flights I booked for June.

Good news the Airbnbs are cheaper and more available.

The bad news is it is cheaper to buy a new car at your destination than to rent one.

Maybe day-trippers and weekenders don't count? Here in tahoe, we've been INUNDATED even during the lockdown last March.

The County sheriff announced they would not enforce the travel mandates put forth by the governor, so everyone flocked up here... The vHR's on my street have been packed even on weekdays, since people are all working remotely.
