Liz Cheney

While I don't agree with her on anything
except a disdain for Donald Trump I do appreciate her. She is totally risking her leadership position and her entire future in politics to speak out against the corruption of the Trump administration. It would be easy to go with other cowards like Lindsey Graham and Kevin McCarthy but she has proven herself to have some principle. Policy wise I disagree with her on everything but I do appreciate her desire to stand up for competence and decency regardless of the price.

She voted with Trump 92% of the time

She breaks with him because she knows he's toxic to anyone with half a brain. She just wants to save the Repigs so they can keep their racism and general hatred of anyone not white or rich under wraps like they tried to in the past.

Perspective.

I commend her courage.

Imagine the death threats she must be getting.

Liz Cheney will be well positioned to make a run for higher office. She's playing the long game.

She is putting her career on the line for this and I don't see how you could fail to see this. There is no way her father could save
her now and I'm sure she would not want that.

I've been so wrung-out by these trumpsters that I've almost given up hope.

Almost.

because of shit their father did. In my original post I said that I agreed with her basically on nothing but for her to risk her career to speak and vote her convictions and repudiate a man who was a disgrace to the presidency deserves some praise.

Said to my husband just this morning: Never thought I'd have a positive thought about Liz Cheney. However, she recognizes the danger to the country, the deflecting posture of her Republican colleagues when it comes to the January 6th Commission and the need for a full, focused investigation. And she's willing to express her views in public, damn the political consequences.

Appreciated the fist-bump she gave Biden last night, too.

Never thought I'd see the day!
