Question for Legal Eagles Re GOP/Trump Campaign Text Msgs

For the Second time in as a many days, I've received phone text msgs from Trump Campaign. I figure they must have acquired my number from the DNC, or Biden Campaign or related/connected data base.

Legal question: Isn't this illegal? And if so, what do I need to know or do to seek remedy?

Do/Should I report to the FEC? Is part of their regulatory responsibilities to monitor and handle this type of thing?

If not: How do I make them cease and desist?

Do I report to the DNC?

I don't know what to do.

...I wasted as much time as I could with them.

Asking questions, wondering about facts, anything that I could think of to delay their work for the RW assholes and delay fundraising as well.

IMO, I don't think there is a violation of any kind...so I don't see a reason to report it. Just screw with them and take their time!

If I get a call, believe me I'll have some fun. I'll do a "This is Leonard, How can i help you" routine. and have fun with it. but this is different. These are those text msgs from different prefixes so blocking is almost a waste of time.

It's the sort of campaign messaging we've been reading about: "Pay up now or else you'll be forever a traitor" kind of thing.

You know I've seen some pretty aggressive fund raising texts from our campaign teams which I'd rather not see, I hate those but I really take offense they have my number in the first place. I'd like to know how they harvested it. Did they hack the DNC data base?

thanks..

this is only a computerized text msg program. there's no one on the other end of this thing.

It should be illegal.
