(15,359 posts)maybe take it easy on my walk the next morning. I got out there and forgot and went on one of my longer routs. Of course the fatigue hits me just as I'm headed back. I realized it must be a reaction and was pissed I didn't just meander around closer to home. I was about a mile out, but I made it home okay.
After I got home that fatigue was serious. I was thinking if this is what people with COVID were describing as a long lasting symptom, it would be really bad. It wasn't the usual nodding off watching a movie tired. It was can I even get up and make it to bed tired.

(23,612 posts)Mine did not start right away, maybe 48 hours. I honestly thought it was a fibro flare and I am so used to mild "I don't want to raise my arms" fatigue that I did not connect it. It is definitely not the same as nodding off watching TV.
I spent maybe 2 days pretty much not wanting to move any more than necessary; no fever. I even thought the shot had just triggered a fibro flare.
It worried me a bit that I did not react any more than that, but since we now know that means your immune system is stronger I am relieved.

(150,879 posts)Such symptoms are uncommon. We just hear about them from those who have them. People who don't experience problems rarely mention their lack of after-effects.
