(38,601 posts)Its slightly annoying in that it posts as the first line of text so Im always moving it up to where I think it belongs, but its comforting to see it.

(11,764 posts)At my age, I don't think my mind will have the time to fully repress all of it, have it percolate until it reaches critical mass, then be evoked in therapy.
Nope. I think I'm good.

(56,326 posts)They had a discontinued timetable information number that was very similar to the phone number I had in my student apartment in Philadelphia when I got my own place (I roomed with 2 friends I had known in high school for the first two years). At all hours of the day and night, my phone would ring with people wanting information about departing and arriving trains. After the first few months, those that called at 6:30 AM, didn't even bother to ask if I was Amtrak, and just wanted to know when "my" trains left for Newark, New Jersey, and how much they cost, were not always given useful information. "My trains" to Newark cost $500 a ticket, and were always routed via Missoula, Montana. Some of them were even bright enough to guess they had NOT called Amtrak.
