FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — Joshua Duggar, 33, is charged by indictment with receiving and possessing child pornography.

Duggar had a first appearance before U.S. District Court Western District of Arkansas Judge Erin Wiedemann via Zoom on Friday morning, April 30, 2021. If convicted, he faces up to 20 years of imprisonment and fines up to $250,000 on each count.

According to court documents, Duggar allegedly used the internet to download child sexual abuse material. Duggar allegedly possessed this material, some of which depicts the sexual abuse of children under the age of 12.

Duggar will remain in custody until a May 5th detention hearing. One stipulation Judge Wiedermann requested is for Duggar to have a third-party custodian should he be released on bond. Also, the residence where he would stay must be devoid of minor children.

She lost the pregnancy, I think around 4 or 5 months, no doubt because she was so damned old that trying to bear another child was bananacrackers. But even that's not all.....

They had a huge "memorial service" at their church for the kid (a girl they named Jubilee Shalom) that was the centerpiece of an episode of the show. Church packed full of people, lots of praying and weeping. It was.... bizarre.

No more pregnancies after that. I guess Mother Menopause finally stepped in and said, "Enough already!"

Interestingly from what I've read, a fair % of them do actually TRY. Like they earnestly attempt treatment and therapy, and honestly do not 'want to be this way'.

At the same time I don't find it surprising that a fair % cannot entirely do so.

Mainly because sex is a bodily function, falling just below the needs for air, food, shelter, and water. 'Watching things burn' is not nearly as much of one.

I think of the % of people that 100% recover from alcohol and drug addiction i.e. they decide to stop, and succeed the first time, and never pick up again.

That % is very, very small. Many, if not most ... never beat it. And the desire to alter one's state of consciousness is not as much of an innate bodily function as sex.

So, to sum up my thought on this, I do have a measure of pity for the people that TRY, because I do think there's a some possibility this is an actual, unchangeable 'orientation'. I have considerably less pity for the one's who do not try.
